For 150+ years Quay Place was part of a working quayside; now it is a waterside holiday destination in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty".

Quay Place and Wharf Corner (its holiday apartment) lie on the banks of Bow Creek, a tidal tributary of the River Dart in South Devon.

There is fishing (see rules) when the tide permits, and some lovely walks when it doesn't. Small children enjoy feeding the ducks and crabbing (the record is 48). The record sea bass catch is 5 (all of which had to go back)

We provide a kayak with which to explore Bow Creek.

Longer, accompanied canoe excursions are organised from the adjacent slipway.

Good local food is available from three pubs within easy walking distance. The best known is the Maltsters Arms next door.

If you need a change, a short car trip gets you to either the sea or the moor (19 miles to Widecombe in the Moor).
