Wharf Corner (L) & Mallard Cottage (R)

For 150+ years Quay Place was part of a working quayside; now it is a waterside holiday destination in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty".

Quay Place and its two holiday apartments lie on the banks of Bow Creek, a tidal tributary of the River Dart in South Devon.

Creek side holidays provide variety: ever-changing scenery and wildlife, water-born activities and fishing when the tide permits and some lovely walks when it doesn't. Small children enjoy feeding the ducks and crabbing (the record is 48).

We provide a kayak with which to explore Bow Creek.

Longer, accompanied canoe excursions are organised from the adjacent slipway.

Good local food is available from three pubs within easy walking distance. The best known is the Maltsters Arms next door.

If you need a change, a short car trip gets you to either the sea or the moor (19 miles to Widecombe in the Moor).
